Does anyone remember 50 Cent's song "I get money (Forbes 1,2,3 Remix)" featuring Jay-Z and P.Diddy about five years ago? Well you should, HipHop's wealthist artists together on one song. This year they have some semi-uninvited guests added to the list, Byran "Birdman" Williams and Andre "Dr.Dre" Young. These HipHop giants collectively accumlate about 15 billions USD. BadBoy P.Diddy whose pockets is the fattest of the bunch (net worth:$550M) has been selling records for more than a decade (15 years to be exact). The most recent business venture that makes him number one the list, is the double digit million dollar checks he gets annually from Ciroc. That's just the beginning, in 2013 Diddy plans to have a Cable Channel "Revolt" aslo a marketing firm "Blue Flame" up and running.
Number 2 on the list is the one and only H.O.V. Shawn Carter. With a net worth at $460M Mr. Carter is on spree with power move after power move. Selling his $700M in revenue clothing company for $204M, signing a record label deal for $150M with LiveNation, and lets not forget his small ownership of the new "Brooklyn Nets". It has been no half stepping for Mr.Carter, from the street corners to 11 albums and a corner office.
We all see them being use on public transportation, athletes use them while warming up for games, Dj's also use them and now kids have them in any color. Still don't know what I'm talking about yet? No, not the iPhone or iPad. It's these Dre Beats headphones that's taking over the world ear's. I'm using them as I type this post. Number 3 on the list Dr. Dre. The big time producer and Record Label Exec cashed in on the technology party and crashed it with his partner Jimmy Lovine. Now with all this demand for Dre Beats HTC thought it would be a great idea to give Dre and Jimmy $300M in return for 51% of ownership. A great come up for the Doctor. (net worth:$270M)
If you could name 5 artists that took over Hiphop in the past 3 years Drake, LiL Wayne, and Nicki Minaj would be top 3. Those artists have more in common than just making great music, they're all signed under Cash Money Records. Number 4 on the list is the Co founder of Cash Money "CM" Records, Byran "Birdman" Williams. His team of hiphop misfits are killing the hiphop game right and Birdman is reaking the profits. (net worth:$125M)
Finally last on our list (dont expect him to stay there for long) is Curtis "50cent" Jackson. I drink it, you probably drink it, it's Viatmin Water. 50cent saw a chance to get brought out by Coca Cola for $100M so he took it and brought cars and whatever people do with $100M dollars. He's setting up for his new energy drink in the coming months and also has a headphone line "SMS". These new ventures are sure to put more money in his piggy bang. (net worth:$110M)
